Second Hand & Vintage Wonders in Rome: Teenager Memories and My Must-Go-To
Since I was a youngster, vintage has accompanied me in fun and exciting adventures, so I'm sharing it all with you! From clothes to unique trinkets, here's my take on how and where to thrift in Rome.
When I think of my first time thrifting in my city, a very sharp image comes to mind: I’m 15 years old and I’m roaming around Via Sannio market in San Giovanni, choosing the very first piece of vintage I would own. If I’m not mistaken, it was some iconic music band’s printed t-shirt. That very ruined T-shirt was just the tip of the iceberg! After that, earrings, sweatshirts, sunglasses (oh my, I could open a shop for how many I had), jackets and so on. I’d literally wear the most unique, colorful clothes I could find (I had quite an obsession with the 80s, which would fluctuate between scintillating pop, enigmatic new wave, and post-punk) and thrifting pieces that would reflect my passion for that decade became a crucial mission.
